Transport Fabrics & Accessories

Transport Fabrics (crop clearance or foliage removal) are used for the mechanical removal of horticultural crops, substrates or ground cover. These transport fabrics are specifically woven to cope with the high forces of crop shredders and crop clearing machinery. The lengthwise direction of the crop clearance fabric is more densely woven than the width direction and the edges of the crop clearance fabric are reinforced. This structure causes the fabric to form a "gutter" when it is pulled in by a crop rotation machine. The material on the fabric is therefore directed to the center of the fabric. Weterings transport fabrics have an extremely high tensile strength and a unique composition in order to guarantee reliability during the crop rotation.

White or black transport fabric

Weterings pullout canvas is available in two types: black 150 gr/m2 and white 165 gr/m2. Both transport fabrics have extremely high mechanical characteristics. The black F150 fabric is used standard during the crop rotation proces. The white F165 fabric is highly reflective and is used year-round in greenhouses, for example in tomato or cucumber nurseries. This allows you to collect the cut tomato leaves on the transport fabric during the growing season and easily remove them with a Bio Hopper. In cucumber nurseries one can place several crop cycles on the canvas and also remove them with a Bio Hopper.

Steel core

The fabric is rolled up on steel cores, which are equipped with "carrying pins". The length of these cores is standard 1500mm, which makes them suitable for all Weterings crop rotation machines.

Cleaning and disinfecting transport fabrics

Hygiene is a key factor during the crop rotation in greenhouses. During use, the crop clearance fabric becomes polluted with plant juices, plant residues and other organic materials. In order to eliminate any diseases, bacteria and viruses that may be present on crop clearance fabrics, one can thoroughly clean and disinfect the mypex using a Fabric washer. Transport or pullout fabrics are used repeatedly, so there is a risk of virus transmission. Foliage removal fabric that is placed in the greenhouse during the cultivation often becomes significantly polluted and requires an adequate cleaning and disinfection process before it's returned into the greenhouse.
