Transport Fabric Disinfection Unit

This disinfection unit is an addition to the Transport Fabric Cleaner. This disinfection system consists of a spray boom which is placed on the fabric washer and a separate pump unit with mix tank.

Disinfecting of the transport mat

In the final stage of the washing process, the Transpot fabric is treated with a disinfectant, such as Menno Florades. The sheet is then rolled up, allowing the disinfectant to do its work. This process kills diseases, viruses and bacteria. Disinfecting / decontaminating of the canvas is particularly important when the fabrics are placed under the gutter in the new crop or when the fabrics are used at various locations over a short period of time.

Operation of the disinfection system

The unit consists of a stainless steel pump frame with a 200-litre PE storage tank. The disinfection fluid can be prepared accurately in the tank. The stainless steel spray boom in the fabric washer is fitted with fine mist nozzles that distribute the disinfectant fluid precisely and evenly over the canvas.

No spilling of disinfectants

The disinfection unit is controlled by the fabric washer and is therefore only in operation during the washing process. This combined with the fine mist nozzles ensures the correct use of the disinfectants.

Liquid level monitoring

The tank is provided with a liquid level measurement system to monitor the disinfection process. When the liquid level reaches its minimum, the washing process stops and an alarm will be shown on the panel of the fabric washer.
