Fabric washers / canvas cleaners are used for thorough cleaning and disinfection of transport fabric during or after the crop rotation.
Hygienic crop rotation for a clean new crop
Hygiene is a big issue in the intensive greenhouse horticulture. Especially in vegetable nurseries (cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants) and breeding companies, hygiene during the crop rotation is essential. Growers do their utmost to prevent the risk of contamination of the new crop. Old crops and substrates are removed by using Transport fabric and crop rotation machines. These transport fabrics are used repeatedly and, in the case of contractors, even regularly by various customers. However, plant residues, plant juices and other organic pollution can remain on these fabrics, which creates a risk of spreading diseases, viruses and bacteria. It is therefore of great importance to thoroughly wash and disinfect these transport canvas after use.
Washing / cleaning the Transport Fabric
The washing / cleaning of crop clearance fabric needs to be done thoroughly in order to remove all plant residues, plant juices and other organic material as much as possible. Viruses and plant diseases nest in these materials and it is therefore essential that the pollution is removed as much as possible. In order to do this thoroughly, thecanvas washers are equipped with an arsenal of sprayers, brushes and scrapers. The speed of the washing process is stepless adjustable and adaptable to the degree of pollution.
Disinfection / sanitizing Transport Fabric
The fabric washer is optionally equipped with a disinfection installation. In the last phase of the washing process, the crop cleanout fabric can be sprayed in with a disinfectant, such Menno Florades or Virkon S. The mypex is then rolled up, after which the disinfectant can do its work. This process will kill diseases, viruses and bacteria. The disinfection of the transport fabric is essential when the fabric is placed under the gutter in the new cultivation, or when the fabric is used in a short period of time on different locations.
